Hello, Allow me to introduce myself. I am the Lead Pastor at Vista Grande Church in San Diego. My wife, Christyne, and I have two young children, TJ and Summer Rae, ages 4 and 5. I am 41 years old and was raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. At age 14 I turned the control of my life over to Jesus Christ through the ministry of a brand new church plant in my neighborhood, Willow Creek Community Church. I became involved in lay leadership for the next 6 years as the church began to experience unprecedented growth. At age 20 I followed God’s calling and moved to Southern California, uncertain of what the future would hold. The next 21 years would prove to be life changing: 50 address changes, 25 countries, 6 Universities, 2 degrees, 20 years in pastoral ministries, Christian camps, overseas missions, military ministries, and widespread camp, conference and chapel speaking. Over the last 20+ years I have been a pastor to Junior High, Senior High, College, Singles, Families and presently as Senior Pastor. I still really enjoy speaking to all of these different age groups and have a good connection with them. My experiences range from a 100 member church to a 15,000 member church and everywhere in between. My speaking experiences range from small camps of 50 to large audiences of 5,000. God has graciously allowed me to work along side of some pretty awesome men, such as, Bill Hybels, Don Cousins, Chuck Swindoll, Bob Kraning and Kenton Beeshore. In August of 2001, we accepted a call to come Vista Grande Church and have loved every minute of it. We have grown to love the people at this church and the people in this area. We look forward to see what God will do to transform lives in such a positive way! Pastor Tony |
