Teaming with The Boy Scouts of Troop #985, Vista Grande Church and
Tierrasanta gain a new gathering place. The Boy Scouts, led by Scout Andrew
Sipes, have elected to make a landscaping project out of Vista Grande
Church’s upper lot (on the corner of Ducos and Baroque), as their Eagle
Scout project. The plan is to make the lot aesthetically appealing, serve
as a spot available to the neighborhood for social gatherings both for the
Church and for the neighborhood, such as kids’ birthday parties, etc. Plans
also include resurfacing the parking area and to beautify the field with
grass, a walking trail around the perimeter, benches and trees. The area
will be continually maintained so neighbors can count on it to look
beautiful for their use.
