Military Resource Ministry
(Providing free helps, programs, seminars, and
other available resources to active/reserve/retired military members and
their families - 100% confidential - NO reporting to Commands)
I
wanted to take this time to let you know just what you can expect from
the ministry. We are approved by Pastor Tony, who wants us to use our
resources to help you. I used to be an Ombudsman for the Navy for four
years. I served under 4 CO's, 3 XO's and 2 CMC's in that time, which is
quite unusual. My husband, Bill, is a Sr. Chief, currently on shore
duty. We will be working together to run this ministry. We see how
important it is to help all military members, including the retired.
Bill's father is a Vietnam Veteran, and we have found that much of the
information we receive helps him as well.
This Ministry
is for the Active, Reserve, Retired and their families. We are 100%
confidential, nothing gets reported back to the Command. In fact we
have agreed with the church that this ministry will have no contact with
your Commands at all. We are here to proactively present you with
information to help you before a need arises. We are also here in your
time of need, to provide resources and to help pray for you. If we are
unable to help you, we will then refer you to our Deacons or Pastors.
We are hoping
to branch out the Ministry in time as it grows. However, at this time
our main concern is getting you the information and help you with what
you need. We work hand in hand with the
Bread Ministry/Emergency Food Program
run by Heidi Martin.
We ask that you
keep in touch with us and let us know if you change rank, shore/sea
duty, deploy, return home, or move. It is our hope that you will let us
know what is working and what isn't, so that we can better serve you.
