The purpose of the Dramatic Arts Ministry is to glorify God through the
performing arts by presenting the gospel in a relevant way that enhances
worship and offers a unique perspective into Biblical truths.

Drama
Ministry Opportunities
Act 1
This drama team, first created in 1993, performs in sketches on Sunday
mornings and for other church ministries. They also frequently have the
opportunity to perform self-written dramas both in and out of the church.
You may be a part of this team after competing a six week workshop class.
Workshop Team
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced performer, the workshop
experience offers an opportunity to learn acting techniques, vocal and body
warm ups, as well as historical and contemporary perspectives of the
theatre.
Technical Theatre Team
Receive training in the areas of technical theatre and serve as technical
support to the various drama teams.

Production and Performance
The drama ministry at Vista Grande Church offers an opportunity for everyone
to be involved in the production of full-length plays and musicals. Our goal
for this ministry is to produce a play or musical, in the dinner theatre
format, which will serve as an outreach event specifically geared toward
offering quality, family entertainment.
Technical Theatre Production
Besides acting roles, there are many backstage jobs available in each
production. Depending on your experience, you may wish to serve on a
production committee, or even lead the committee.
